Changes to the FOIA Public Liaison's duties

This request asks for emails, Teams messages and texts since June 1, 2026 among the FOIA Public Liaison, that person's chain of command up to the Chief FOIA Officer, and National Records Center leadership. It covers messages that reduce or end the Liaison's duties, change how requester questions are answered (including at the FOIAPAQuestions mailbox), tell staff to stop, delay or limit responses to particular requesters or categories of requesters, or move the Liaison's functions elsewhere.

Why it matters
The Public Liaison is a contact for requesters with problems, so changes to that role could affect any requester.
