Track placement counts for agency-record requests, FY2026

This request asks how many requests for agency records (records about the agency itself, not a person's immigration file) USCIS received in fiscal year 2026 and how many were assigned to each processing track: Track 1, 2 or 3. It also asks for any finer breakdown the agency keeps, and for a query output rather than a hand-built count if the data can be pulled from a system.

Why it matters
The counts would show how requests are split among the tracks, which may affect how long they wait.

Figures as of Oct 17, 2026. Check after Nov 16, 2026: if you are reading later than that, these figures may be out of date.

These figures are more than 30 days old. They may not reflect what has happened since Oct 17, 2026.

Extension invoked
USCIS told the requester it would invoke the 10-working-day "unusual circumstances" extension the law allows (5 U.S.C. 552(a)(6)(B)). What an extension means

Template T-53
For fiscal year 2026 (October 1, 2025 through the date this request is processed), the total number of FOIA requests for agency records (to include cases with COW, SPL, or VCO office prefixes in FIRST) received by USCIS that were assigned to each processing track (Track 1, Track 2, and Track 3), broken down by track, and by any further subdivision of track assignments (for example, by office prefix, requester category, or subject matter). Query output from the database or reporting system (such as FIRST or a reporting database that stores FIRST data) rather than a manual compilation.
